Experience: 8 -10 years in Building Management Systems (BMS) or building automation
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and technically strong Project Manager to lead internal project coordination and technical integration for our BMS projects. This role is entirely internal, acting as a crucial bridge between the software development team & the field commissioning/implementation teams.
The ideal candidate should have technical knowledge of BMS products and devices, excellent problem-identification abilities, and a strong focus on internal process alignment and delivery quality.
Key Responsibilities
– Manage and oversee project execution, from planning to system readiness, ensuring alignment with overall project timelines and milestones.
– Act as the main internal coordinator between software teams and commissioning/implementation teams.
– Possess and apply complete technical knowledge of BMS systems, including controllers, sensors, field devices, network architectures, and software platforms.
– Suggest corrective actions and solutions, and guide internal teams to close technical gaps effectively.
– Maintain clear, concise, and professional communication with all internal stakeholders, ensuring technical alignment and smooth execution.
Key Requirements
– Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related field).
– 5–8 years of experience in BMS or building automation projects within commercial buildings (offices, hospitals, malls, data centers, etc.).
– Complete technical expertise in BMS hardware and software, including controllers, sensors, field devices, and head-end software platforms (e.g., Honeywell, Siemens, Schneider, Johnson Controls).
– Proven ability to analyze and troubleshoot system issues, identify gaps, and suggest actionable solutions.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to clearly articulate technical concepts to internal software and field teams.
– Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
– Should be well-versed with using tools like Modscan, Simpli Modbus, Yabe, and BACeye
Preferred Skills
– Experience with internal QA/QC processes and technical audits in BMS projects.
– Familiarity with software lifecycle management in building automation.
– Ability to mentor and technically guide junior engineers and software developers.
